Denis’ extensive experience embraces all aspects of spoken audio production. His narrations cover a wide range of genres, including classic fiction, biography, philosophy, history, poetry and dramatic roles. In particular, he has been very active as a producer and narrator of presentations of Australian literature.
The narrator’s story
Denis was introduced to audiobook narration in 2009 and since 2011 has been working as a professional voice over artist.
Through his company Voices of Today, he has released a large number of solo recordings. Voices of Today also operates as a gateway into the voiceover world, through which many people have been helped to build careers in audiobook narration. In 2012 Denis was invited to become a founding member of Rhapsodize Audio, an initiative created by Bob Gonzalez to encourage the recording and popularization of classic poetry.
Denis has used his natural accent to voice several iconic pieces of Australian literature, including The Songs of A Sentimental Bloke, The Magic Pudding, The Man From Snowy River, Poems (1913) by landmark poet Christopher Brennan and stories by Henry Lawson.
Denis’ titles have been published by Spoken Realms, Iambik, Audiobooks Unleashed, Blackstone, Findaway and Author’s Republic.
The Studio
